What is the most important thing you always carry with you?
It’s been a while since I’ve done a Q&A! Hmm… 😕
If I think about what I always carry when I go out with Zero, the answer is obvious poop bags! 😂 If you’re a dog parent, you know that’s a non-negotiable essential anywhere you go.
Other than that, I’d say a portable water bottle for dogs, a small amount of treats, and very importantly wet wipes.
With French Bulldogs like Zero, who have open, upright ears (perk-perk!) and flat faces, it’s super important to wipe their face and ears after a walk. After running around in dirt or grass, I often find sand, soil, or even tiny leaves in Zero’s ears.
And because brachycephalic breeds tend to stick their whole face deep into bushes or grass while sniffing, I get worried about what might get in there.
Earlier this year, Zero actually had an allergic reaction in his ears redness, scabs, constant scratching. Probably from something he picked up during a walk. Treating it was a real headache 😅, so now I never forget to bring wet wipes. They’re honestly just as important as treats for us!
How about you? If you have a Frenchie, Pug, or any other flat-faced pup, do you always bring wet wipes on walks too? Let’s share tips! 🐶💬
